IMPORTANT NEWS FOR ALL SHOW HORSE COMPETITORS

During the month of May 2008, the SHC-SA received written advice from the Show Horse Council of Australia Federal Committee, that a competitior can only be a finiancial  member of one Show Horse Council Affiliate within Australia/within a state in any given year. This is part of the Show Horse Council constitution.
What this means to competitors is that once you are a financial member of the SHC-SA or the HIA Competitiors Association,  you will have reciprocal rights with any other SHC affiliated club (complimentary benefits) within Australia/your state. For example, a SHC-SA or HIA Competitors Association member will be able to show at any SHC affiliated show within Australia without having to pay additional  membership fees. You will only have voting rights with the club that you have paid your membership fees to. You will need to provide proof of your current membership with a SHC affiliated group before your reciprocal rights can be acknowledged.

This is great news for competitors in these difficult economic times.

TO ALL COMPETITORS REQUIRING HEIGHT CERTIFICATES (updated 21st June 2009)
As announced at the AGM in July this year, the SHC-SA has purchased a calibrated and certified measuring stick through the Show Horse Council of Australia. Denise Fenwick is an official SHC measurer for Australasia and she is also a trainee measurer for the SA branch of the EFA.

The SHC-SA Committee has now managed to have two venues surveyed and certified as suitable for carrying out Official SHC measuring. Official certificates purchased through the SHC-SA committee are valid at any SHC affiliated show within Australia.

The two certified measuring venues are at Mallala Equestrian Centre and Pegasus Pony Club. Measuring certificates are $10 for SHC affiliated members and $15 for non-members.

Please contact Denise Fenwick or Sam Bartalos for further information.

All horses being measured MUST have an application form filled in completely and signed by the owner/responsible person before being measured. Click onto the document icon below to down load the application form.
